FAQ

General

DO YOU HAVE A STOREFRONT I CAN VISIT?
Sorry, we are an internet-only shop and we are not open to foot traffic.

ARE YOUR SCOPES USED LIKE THE ONES I SEE ON EBAY?
In short - no. We carry new, refurbished, and restored vintage scopes. They are not reproductions and they are not pulled from a dusty garage and shipped to you without A LOT of attention and expertise. Each of our scopes is tested for functionality, cleaned, re-sealed, and nitrogen-purged to protect against condensation and internal rusting.

ARE YOUR BOXED SCOPES REFURBISHED?
Yes. Our boxed originals have received the same attention as a refurbished or restored scope. They have been checked for functionality, cleaned, sealed, and nitrogen-purged.

DO YOU HAVE DISCOUNTS?
We offer a 10% discount to active and retired military, law enforcement, and first responders. Contact us for more information.

DO YOU STAND BEHIND YOUR SCOPES?
Yes, our guarantees can be found here: https://www.vintagegunscopes.com/grading

ARE YOUR SCOPES NITROGEN PROCESSED?
Yes. Click here for more information.

IF YOU ARE OUT OF STOCK WILL YOU NOTIFY ME WHEN YOU HAVE IT AGAIN?
Yes, please join the waitlist on the item page for the grade(s) you are interested in and we will send you an automatic email when the item is back in stock. Please note that once an item comes back into stock and a waitlist email is sent, the waitlist is cleared and you must join again if you did not purchase the item before it went out of stock again.

YOU DON’T HAVE THE SCOPE I WANT ON YOUR WEBSITE. WILL YOU FIND IT FOR ME?
Vintage inventory procurement is unpredictable so we do not take one-off requests. We recommend signing up for our weekly newsletter if you are looking for a scope that is not already on the website. The newsletter is the first place you will see all new listings each week. If the scope you want is listed but out of stock, please join the waitlist for each grade you are considering and an email will automatically be sent to you when it is back in stock.

HOW DO I FIND OUT HOW TO PUT TOGETHER A PERIOD-CORRECT COMBINATION OF GUN, SCOPE, AND MOUNTS?
Please visit our three-step build page to help you match up all the components for an easy period-correct build that will make you look like a pro! Start here with Step 1.
Steps Two and Three can be found on the Resources tab.

DO YOU HAVE INVENTORY FOR SALE THAT ISN’T ON THE WEBSITE?
No, all of our available inventory is listed on the website and updated in real-time. We add inventory weekly and often daily.
